Just when think it can’t get worse you look under the arches. The MOT fail had identified that the brakes were faulty so new brakes were fitted all round, at the same time its a good time to check for rust on the arches.
In my case they were totally shot, on both sides of Christine, the rust had eaten its way through a small hole, which when it was looked into turned out to be a sink hole.
The rust had completely eaten through the arches, not just on the outside but on the inside too. The only way to repair the arches was weld in new internal arches. This messed up the bodywork completely.
Having had all the work completed, it was time to get the dread re-test done and yes we have lift off…..
